Restylane

We offer Restylane injections. This family of products, consisting of hyaluronic acid, are the same as a substance which is naturally present in human skin, and are used to “fill in” and “plump up” areas that have become sunken or deflated (such as the lips). Commonly treated areas include the nasolabial creases (creases extending from the nose to near the corners of the mouth), the lips, and the areas below the corners of the mouth. Also, it is sometimes placed along the top of the cheek bones. We often use local anesthetic and intraoral (inside the mouth) anesthetic, to minimize discomfort. Injections are placed with a very small needle and/or a cannula (a blunt-tipped needle-like instrument, that may be preferable in some situations).

The effect is not permanent, but it can be long-lasting. A brief consultation with Dr. Brown is required prior to the first appointment for injections.
